Rupee recovers from all-time low, gains 5 paise to 84.83 against US dollar in early trade

However, a strong dollar, volatile equity markets, and foreign fund outflows limited the rupee's gains. India's retail inflation eased to 5.48% in November, while industrial production growth slowed to 3.5% in October.
