After IAS Tina Dabi, IAS Anudeep Durishetty’s UPSC marksheet goes viral, he scored highest marks in UPSC history; Check his scores
The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams are considered some of the most challenging in India, with thousands of aspirants competing every year. The success stories of IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officers are often marked by immense perseverance and determination. One such remarkable story is that of Anudeep Durishetty, who made history by securing the All India Rank 1 in the 2017 UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE).
Anudeep began his UPSC journey after graduating from BITS Pilani and working as a Software Engineer at Google. Despite having a promising career ahead, he felt a strong desire to serve his country, which led him to leave his job and pursue the challenging path of becoming a civil servant. His first attempt in 2012 was unsuccessful, but his second attempt in 2013 earned him a place in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). However, his dream of becoming an IAS officer remained.
Refusing to give up, Anudeep continued to pursue the UPSC CSE in 2014 and 2015, but faced more setbacks. Instead of being discouraged, these failures fueled his determination. Finally, in 2017, on his fifth attempt, Anudeep not only achieved his goal of joining the IAS but also became the topper of the UPSC CSE, securing AIR 01. Remarkably, he did this without any formal coaching.
Anudeep Durishetty is currently Hyderabad’s District Collector.
Anudeep also holds the record for scoring the highest marks ever in the UPSC exams. In 2017, he achieved an impressive score of 1,126 out of 2,025 marks, and his UPSC marksheet has gone viral on social media.
