2024: Year in Sports

What happened this year? What didn't? There were first-time champions, record-setting champions, a PGA star got arrested, a baseball icon got fleeced, and a small school in Indiana showed us it's fun to get a little weird. Simone Biles defied the odds, and the Celtics denied the Mavericks. Kansas City and UConn both went back-to-back, and the Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese rivalry spilled into the rising WNBA. All this, and the revamped (and reviled) college football playoff is just getting started.
