Joe Burrows Breaks Silence on Home Invasion Amidst Rash of NFL Robberies

NFL star Joe Burrows has broken his silence two days after his home was broken into while Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton was present.

"So obviously everybody has heard what has happened," the 28-year-old Concinnati Beganal QB told reporters on Tuesday. "I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one,” he continued, “and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share. So that's all I got to say about that," Burrows concluded.

The home invasion made headlines on Dec. 9 when Ponton returned to Burrows’ mansion, where she was currently staying, to find windows shattered and the NFL star’s bedroom in a state of disarray. “Someone broke into my house,” she can be heard telling the dispatcher in a phone call posted by WLWT on X (formerly Twitter). “It’s, like, completely messed up.” At the time, the Bengals star was busy prevailing over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football with a 27–20 win.

After speaking with police, Ponton phoned her mother, Diane, who placed her own 911 call. However, she seemed to believe the break-in was actively occurring. “Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house,” Diane said. “She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should be going outside.”

The relationship between Burrows and Ponton is unclear. According to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office documents reviewed by Us Weekly, the model/influencer is “employed” by the 28-year-old quarterback. Burrows was previously romantically linked with Olivia Holzmacher, but the two haven’t been seen publicly in some time.

The burglary at Burrows’ home comes less than a month after thieves plundered Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ estates while they were also busy playing a game. It led to the NFL and NBA issuing a joint warning to players about “well-organized, sophisticated [international theft] rings that incorporate advanced techniques and technologies, including pre-surveillance, drones, and signal jamming devices.”
