Just as the woman we believed to be his fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was appointed ambassador to Greece, it became apparent that she and Don Jr. had called off their engagement amid reports that Don Jr. has been seeing a Floridian socialite named Bettina Anderson for several months. For those brave enough to ask why, People has an answer: According to one source, Don Jr. dumped his fiancée to impress his dad.
“Don Jr. has always wanted to look good in his father’s eyes,” People’s anonymous insider claimed. “Someone like Bettina, who is and has been a model, and is in Waspy circles of Palm Beach, is something that would impress him.” Guilfoyle’s greatest flaw, apparently, is her style — People says Don Jr. has been complaining about her “high heels” and “tight dresses” for months. Now that he has found a woman who is both chill and more like his father’s wife, Don Jr. sounds like he’s ready to commit; he allegedly took Anderson on a trip to Alaska and has been introducing her to people as his girlfriend. With Guilfoyle’s relocation imminent, things are looking up — Anderson apparently wanted her “out of the area,” but she and Don Jr. were waiting until after the election to put all these plans in motion.
