Smriti Mandhana’s boyfriend posts an appreciation pic with Pushpa song after the star cricketer’s century against Australia
New Delhi: Indian musician and composer Palash Muchhal shared a picture of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana on his Instagram stories after she scored her ninth ODI century. Mandhana reached this milestone during the third and final ODI against Australia Women on Wednesday, December 11, in Perth.
The 28-year-old cricketer made 105 runs from 109 deliveries, striking 14 fours and one six. This century marked Mandhana’s fourth in 2024, making her the first female cricketer to hit four ODI centuries in a single year. In 2024, she has scored 599 runs in 10 ODIs, with an average of 59.90, which includes four centuries and one half-century. At the same time, the musician shared a photo of Mandhana on his Instagram Stories, paired with a track from the popular film Pushpa.

Smriti Mandhana’s century goes in vain as Australia completes a whitewash in the three-match ODI series:
Australia won the first two matches convincingly and was asked to bat first in the third game. The hosts didn’t get off to an ideal start, losing four wickets for just 78 runs. However, Ashleigh Gardner (50) and Annabel Sutherland built a crucial 96-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Sutherland was the key player for Australia, scoring 110 off 95 balls and former a 121-run stand for the sixth wicket with captain Tahila McGrath, who remained unbeaten on 56. Australia finished at 298/6 in their 50 overs.
India’s Arundhati Reddy was impressive, taking four wickets while conceding just 26 runs in her 10-over spell. Unfortunately, looking at the batting side except Smriti Mandhana no other Indian batter could make a significant contribution, as India collapsed from 189/3 to be bowled out for 215, falling short by 83 runs.
