Negros prepares for worst after Kanlaon blast

BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines — Better to be ready than sorry. Although Mt. Kanlaon has calmed down after a short but strong eruption on Monday, local governments on Negros Island were not letting their guards down. More evacuation centers were being readied for a spillover of people from the towns and cities affected by
