Kate Upton Provides Context for Post About 'Drunk & High' Dad After Concerning Fans

Kate Upton is clearing the air after concerning her fans with a post on social media.

Back in November, the 32-year-old model shared a post on her Instagram Story about a “drunk and high” dad who was seemingly putting their child in harm’s way. Some thought that this might be in reference to her husband Justin Verlander.

This week, Kate assured her followers that she was not speaking about Justin and provided more context to the situation.

“I posted a scary emergency situation on my story and I know many of you have been concerned,” Kate wrote in a since-expired post on her Instagram Story, via Daily Mail.

She continued, writing, “But, a few people mistakenly thought the situation involved my husband. To clarify: we do not have a 10-year-ol. Our daughter is 6, and Justin would never put her in such a terrifying or life-threatening situation. He is a wonderful father whose unwavering priority is ensuring our daughter is safe, loved, and protected every single day.”

In additional messages, Kate explained that the post actually had to do with her niece, saying that her family was trying to help protect her.

Kate and Justin have been married since 2017. They welcomed their daughter Genevieve in 2018.
