COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio might not be known as a top skiing destination, but the state offers several fun and family-friendly slopes for winter sports enthusiasts.

Here is a guide to where to hit the slopes in central Ohio and beyond.

Snow Trails Ski Resort

Details: Located about an hour north of Columbus along I-71, Snow Trails is central Ohio’s premier skiing destination. It features 21 trails for all skill levels and is known for its Timberline trail, the “longest trail in Ohio.” There is also a tubing park and five terrain parks for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. They also offer night skiing and a cozy lodge.
