MTA bans certain trucks on bridges due to high winds
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A storm is expected to hit New York City Wednesday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and strong wind gusts.
In response to the inclement weather, the MTA Bridges and Tunnels announced that all empty tractor-trailers and tandem trucks are banned from using the bridges.
The ban will be implemented at 10 a.m. and is expected to last until 6 p.m. Wednesday. Times are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
