Jonathan Bailey's Shirtless Fiyero Scene Was Cut Out of 'Wicked' Movie, According to Bowen Yang

We sadly missed out on a shirtless moment from Jonathan Bailey in the Wicked movie!

Bowen Yang has revealed that Jonathan went shirtless in a scene with co-star Ethan Slater, but it didn’t make the final cut.

“You were supposed to see Jonathan Bailey in his full shirtless glory, flexing, and then Boq being insecure and wanting to look hot too, like take his shirt off,” Bowen said during an appearance on the Just Trish podcast.

Bowen added, “But then it’s like, ‘Oh, wait, Ethan’s got a great body.’”

The scene was supposed to happen between “Popular” and “I’m Not That Girl.”

“Between those scenes, they shot a whole montage just to show the audience that these are all friends now: Fiyero, Galinda, Elphaba, Nessa, and Boq, the five of them running around, hanging out. The reason why Elphaba has all those poppies is because they cut a thing where they’re in a poppy field and they pick flowers and they’re laughing, having a great time,” Bowen said.

Bowen said the scene was cut because the movie was already so long, but host Trisha Paytas said, “I think people would have loved a three-hour movie if that was included.”
