Daniel Levy will sack Ange Postecoglou under one condition – Jamie O’hara
Jamie O’Hara explains why he fears that Daniel Levy might not be too far away from giving Ange Postecoglou the sack at Spurs.
Ange Postecoglou’s position is now under serious scrutiny
While calls for Postecoglou to be sacked seemed extremely premature just a few weeks ago, it now seems like a distinct possibility if Tottenham get hammered by Chelsea on Friday.
Daniel Levy and the Spurs hierarchy would have seen the visceral reaction of the away fans at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday when Postecoglou and the players walked over to them after the final whistle.
There is now a serious risk of the atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium turning toxic if the Lilywhites fall to another defeat or two.
Jamie O’Hara claims Postecoglou could soon be gone
O’Hara pointed to the fact that Daniel Levy has been quick to pull the plug in the past if he feels the club are in danger of missing out on Champions League qualification.
The former Spurs midfielder suggested that Postecoglou could be gone by Christmas if the club find themselves in a similar position in the table by that time.
The pundit told talkSPORT: “Daniel Levy won’t stand for this. I’m telling you now, he will sack him.
“Daniel Levy is all about Champions League football, Europa League minimum. If Spurs are tenth in the table after Christmas, they’ll sack Ange. I’m telling you, they’ll sack him. This can’t continue.”
Reports indicate Postecoglou still has the support of Levy
However, it was reported by TBR Football on Friday that despite the noise from the outside, Postecoglou’s job is not under any threat at the moment.
The outlet claimed that the North London club still believe in the Australian to see out the project he has started at Spurs.
The publication asserted that there is sympathy for Postecoglou, given the injury issues that Tottenham are dealing with at the moment.
