Time-Controls – 45 minutes + 15 seconds increments
Three wins and 3 losses to finish of the qualifying rounds. Well played Dundee City F, winning against the odds against a far stronger side grading wise!
But the team of the night was Dundee City B team in division one, not only winning their match, but in the process finishing top of their group and qualifying for the play-off`s!
Way to go Ed Spencer, Stephen Hogg, Andre Babin & Theodoros Vasiliadis!
Div 1 – Group A
Dundee City A (2249) 3 – 1 (1845) Guildford 1
Good safe win to finish off their campaign, but not able to defend their title, finishing in 3rd place. No matter how good you are, it`s tough at the top! Well played everybody!
Div 1 – Group B
Dundee City B (1989) 3½ – ½ (1861) Jurassic Coast
Dundee City B`s task was made a little easier with Jurassic Coast only have 2 players, but they still needed to secure the win and as many board points as possible!
We have some bad-ass players in this team!
Div 2 – Group A
Beckenham (1622) 2½ – 1½ (1816) Dundee City C
Dundee City C finish in 4th place in group A, and safe!
Div 2 – Group B
Ashfield Anonymous B (1860) 4 – 0 (1688) Dundee City D
Not the way you wanted to finish the campaign, but it`s been a really tough season! Finishing in 7th place and possibly relegated depending on entries for season 11.
Div 3 – Group B
Dundee City E (1541) 1 – 3 (1291) Guildford 2
With this result, Dundee City E finish on 5 points and in 6th place, so should be safe for this season!
Div 4 – Group B
Bromley (1590) 1½ – 2½ (1274) Dundee City F
What a result by our “F” team! Amazing, absolutely amazing result to finish their campaign off!
Well done Connor Kelly, Ed Walton, Norman Waugh &Judith Firth! Norman`s win against a 1561 on board 3 was outstanding!
