Isaiah Bond of the Texas Longhorns scores a touchdown against Julian Humphrey of the Georgia Bulldogs during a 2024 game.

The 2024 SEC Championship has arrived, bringing with it the ultimate showdown between Georgia and Texas. We've compiled everything you need to know about where to watch the SEC Championship, including how to live stream the game if you don't have cable.

The Bulldogs are 10-2 this season, while the Longhorns are 11-1. Texas' lone loss this season was at the hands of Georgia during an October match-up that saw the Bulldogs pull ahead 30-15 thanks to some impressive legwork in the first half. Georgia is no stranger to the SEC Championship game and is a frequent flyer at the final. The Bulldogs lost the championship last year to Alabama in a tight 27-24 game, but they beat out LSU just the year before. This is the Longhorns' first year in the SEC.

Keep reading to learn where to watch today's Georgia vs. Texas match-up. If you're hoping to live stream even more college football, make sure to follow our how to watch college football guide for updated info on other conference championships and playoffs.

What channel is the SEC Championship on?

The SEC Championship will air on ABC in the United States. The Texas vs. Georgia game will kick off on Saturday, December 7, at 4 p.m. ET.

Where to watch the SEC Championship in the US

If you don't have cable or antenna access to ABC, you can still live stream the network (and the game) through a live TV streaming service like Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, or Fubo. All three services made our list of the best sports streaming services and have low-commitment month-to-month options that you can cancel anytime.

Sling TV is the cheapest option by far, but the service's local channel coverage is selective, so you should make sure the network is available in your zip code before signing up. To access local networks, you'll need to sign up for Sling Blue, which offers a little over 40 live channels. Subscriptions cost $40/month, but new users can usually get about $20 knocked off their first month of service.

If you can't get ABC through Sling or you're looking for a more comprehensive cable alternative, DirecTV Stream or Fubo might be the way to go. They're a bit more expensive than Sling, but they carry anywhere from 90-200+ live channels, depending on which tier you opt for. DirecTV Stream plans start at $87/month and come with a five-day free trial, while Fubo plans start at $80/month and include a seven-day free trial. Fubo will also knock $30 off your first month of service as part of a special promotion running this weekend.

How to watch the SEC Championship from anywhere

If you're traveling away from home and hoping to keep up with the game via your usual streaming methods, you can do so with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs enable people to change their virtual location so that they can use their usual apps and websites from almost anywhere in the world. The services we've recommended today require US methods of payment, so this option will work best for Americans who are simply traveling abroad and hoping to keep up with their existing apps.

Not sure where to start when it comes to VPNs? Our go-to recommendation is ExpressVPN. It's an easy-to-use option with a 30-day money-back guarantee, plus tons of other perks, which we outline in our ExpressVPN review.

How to watch the SEC Championship with a VPN

  • Sign up for a VPN if you don't have one.
  • Install it on the device you're using to watch.
  • Turn it on and set it to a US location.
  • Sign up for one of the above streaming services if you don't already have an account.
  • Enjoy the game!

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
