A Brand New ‘Rare Air’ Air Jordan 11 Is Expected to Be Released in 2025

0

Changes are afoot in 2025’s holiday Air Jordan 11 Retro launches after the pair that was originally expected to be released has reportedly been scrapped in favor of not one, but two different styles. In addition to the anticipated first-ever rerelease of the “Gamma Blue” Air Jordan 11, a brand new colorway is set to join the ranks.

According to early information shared by @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, an Air Jordan 11 Retro “Rare Air” colorway will be released during holiday ’25. While this update may come as a surprise to many, it’s not entirely out of left field as there are already a number of other “Rare Air” retros lined up for launch next year including the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4.

While in-hand images of the aforementioned “Rare Air” pairs have already surfaced online, there isn’t a physical look at the new Air Jordan 11 Retro just yet. However, the pair will reportedly feature a “Deep Royal Blue/Fire Red/Sail/Black/Muslin” color scheme.

An early speculative mock-up of what the style could look like features color blocking comparable to the other ’25 “Rare Air” Air Jordans with a dark blue upper that is accented with red throughout. Like the Air Jordan 3’s reversed logos and the Air Jordan 4’s removable Velcro patches, it’s likely that this Air Jordan 11 will also feature minor modifications to help it stand out from other iterations.

Jordan Brand’s short-lived “Rare Air” series was introduced in the 2000s and was primarily focused on the Air Jordan 4 model with pairs including the “Tour Yellow” and Undefeated’s highly coveted and soon-to-be-reissued collaboration. The concept went dormant over the last two decades, but it’s set to return in a big way during ’25.

With the return of “Gamma Blue” Air Jordan 11 Retro and the arrival of the new “Rare Air” Air Jordan 11 Retro, there will be options for fans chasing nostalgia as well as those who want a fresh new look. Retail pricing for the “Rare Air” Air Jordan 11 Retro is currently set at $230. Readers can expect more updates in the coming months.
