WATCH: Shubman Gill dismissed by ‘Impossible’ delivery by Mitchell Starc in Adelaide Test
Indian batter Shubman Gill did not manage to make a significant impact with the bat in the ongoing second test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The second match of the pink ball Test is currently at stumps on Day 2 at the Adelaide Oval.
Shubman Gill had to bat earlier in the innings as KL Rahul was back for the 2nd innings. However, the batter did not look to have any effect by this, as he began the first ball with a boundary and throughout his whole batting, looked very positive.
He played a good inning and made sure that he gets fast runs for his team. Even though the Indian team was under pressure, Gill played continuously and was looking like he would make a big score.
Not long after that, Gill’s game got cut down by Mitchell Starc, as he bowled such a delivery that it became hard for anyone to not get dismissed on it.

Mitch Starc gets some "banana swing" to make a mess of Shubman Gill's stumps ????#DeliveredWithSpeed | @NBN_Australia | #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/sP41huXm4F
Stack bowled such a delivery that had a late banana swing. The ball started at fourth stump, and came back later on. The delivery was a fuller ball and Gill had no chance to play that delivery. The Indian batter went forward to drive the ball and left a small gap between his bat and pad, where the ball went through and knocked the middle stump.
