6 big changes | Expected Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Forest with double boost for Amorim

Manchester United take on Nottingham Forest in today’s late Premier League kick-off at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils suffered their first defeat under manager Ruben Amorim on Wednesday night. They were beaten 2-0 at Arsenal after a disappointing second-half display.

Amorim will want a strong response against Forest and will rotate his starting XI again.

The Portuguese made six changes for the win over Everton. He made six more changes for the trip to Arsenal, and it could be the same again today.

The manager has received a big selection boost with Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo back in contention after missing the Arsenal game due to suspensions.

Andre Onana has been an undisputed starter in goal, playing every minute in the Premier League since his arrival from Inter Milan last year.

The Cameroonian had a busy night at the Emirates Stadium, where he made a couple of crucial saves. The margin of defeat could have been wider. He is guaranteed to start.

Martinez should return in defence after his recent suspension. He will play alongside Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.

Harry Maguire should drop to the bench. Leny Yoro had a good cameo replacing Maguire in midweek, but he may not be risked from the starting XI after his long injury lay-off.

Diogo Dalot should start at left wing-back today, with Amad Diallo reinstated on the opposite flank. Tyrell Malacia is expected to drop to the substitutes’ bench once more.

The midfield could be different from Wednesday. Amorim has dropped a big hint that Manuel Ugarte will be on the bench. Casemiro may replace him in the number six role.

Mainoo should accompany the Brazilian in midfield after his one-game domestic ban. Bruno Fernandes will start in one of the number 10 positions behind the striker.

He could be partnered by Marcus Rashford with Joshua Zirkzee leading the line. Alejandro Garnacho, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund are expected to start on the bench as part of the rotation.
