My home is a Christmas paradise with Poundland and B&M buys but trolls think it’s ‘tacky’ & feel sorry for my neighbours

A WOMAN has revealed that she has given her home a mega makeover for the festive season.

Using cheap inflatables from Poundland and Home Bargains, Shelby Richards has brought the front of her home to life.

Thrilled with her home’s Christmas overhaul, Shelby took to social media to share a close-up look at the front of her pad with others.

But people have been left totally divided by Shelby’s home makeover – whilst some ‘love’ it, others thought it was ‘chaos’ and ‘tacky’.

Posting on BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range, a public Facebook group with 573,900 members, Shelby shared a picture of her home, which has been kitted out with an inflatable snowman, Santa, gingerbread man, dinosaurs, penguins and more.

It’s bright lights galore and is sure to get anyone in the festive spirit

Not only does she have inflatables in her front garden, but she’s also got them on the pavement outside her home too.

And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also hung up lights on her windows and even has an inflatable candy cane arch over her front door.

Alongside her post, she wrote: “My display this year with Home Bargains inflatables, Poundland and B&Ms lights and a few Facebook bargains!

“Merry Christmas everyone.”

Shelby’s post has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly racked up almost 500 likes and 171 comments.

Social media users flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the bright display, with many hailing it ‘amazing’.

One person said: “I can imagine the little kids will just love its brightness and chaos.

“We all need something that will help us through the dark times. Well done and a merry Christmas.”

That looks really tacky

Another added: “Love it.”

A third commented: “Wow that looks amazing.”

Are the Christmas bits out earlier this year?

It often feels like Christmas decorations and products start appearing in stores earlier each year.
Retailers typically begin to stock Christmas items well before the holiday season to capitalise on early shoppers and to extend the buying period. Here are a few reasons why it might seem like Christmas bits are out earlier this year:

Extended Shopping Season
Retailers aim to extend the holiday shopping season to maximise sales. By putting out Christmas items earlier, they encourage people to start their holiday shopping sooner.

Consumer Demand
Some consumers prefer to plan and shop for Christmas well in advance, so stores cater to this demand by stocking holiday items earlier.

Marketing Strategy
Early displays of Christmas items can create a festive atmosphere and build anticipation, encouraging people to get into the holiday spirit and start spending.

Competition
Retailers compete to attract customers, and being the first to display holiday items can give them an edge.

Supply Chain Considerations
Given recent disruptions in global supply chains, stores might be putting out Christmas items earlier to ensure they have enough stock and to spread out the demand over a longer period.

However, at the same time, not everyone was quite as complimentary, as one user wrote: “It’s absolutely chaos!”

A second slammed: “Wouldn’t like your electric bill.”

Go big or go home!

Someone else penned: “Poor neighbours.”

Whilst one person thought: “Oh hell that looks really tacky.”

To this, Shelby replied and wrote: “You’re entitled to your opinion which I respect, but having seen the joy it’s brought to the local community, old and young alike, they seem to think differently and really love it!

“As I say go big or go home!”
