She then showed herself applying make-up on camera[/caption]

In her video, which has racked up 30,000 likes, Jasmine responded to another TikTok user who had written: “Welcome to ‘how to Catfish 101. Class is now in session.”

She jumped on the bandwagon and wrote: “Did I just get caught? #catfishchallenge.”

Jasmine started on camera bare-faced without any make-up applied.

She next added some heavy foundation to cover her skin and then added contour and blush.

The make-up lover added: “stage makeup is my hobby. I love pushing myself with contour and blending.”

Next it was time to apply eyeshadow and she opted for bold black and blue colours, followed by a bronze shimmer.

Finally she added lashes and lipstick before working on her hair.

It was hard to visualise what the finished result would look like with her comical expressions throughout the clip, but when she revealed the finished look, people were amazed.

Jasmine looked extremely glamorous and like she was ready for a photoshoot.

Although she joked she was a catfish, there was no denying the finished result looked incredible.

Three hair mistakes that are making you look older

THERE are some hair mistakes to avoid if you don't want to make yourself look older than you actually are:

      • One dimensional hair colour – it’s a good idea to visit a hairdresser to get your colour done. Using a box dye can leave you with one block colour, so steer clear.
      • Hair that’s too dark around the hairline – “Add softer, lighter tones and shades around the sides of the face to bring lift and life to your eyes; too dark a colour will do the opposite and feel very gaunt and dreary,” Jack Howard, UK colour spokesperson for L’Oreal, said.
      • Sticking to the hair colour of your youth – While you might have looked good with jet black hair in your 20s, the same may not be said now you’re in your 50s. The general rule is that your hair colour should lighten with age, just as your skin tone does.
