Travis Head haunts India once again with superb ton, breaks MASSIVE record as well
Australia batter Travis Head once again proved why he is India’s nemesis as he slammed an incredible 111-ball century on the second day of the Adelaide Test. This was the explosive batter’s 8th Test century and third in the day-night Tests. The 30-year-old reached 3 digits after hitting 11 boundaries and 3 sixes.
If Head does end up scoring another century in the second innings, then he will equal his teammate Marnus Labuschagne’s record for the most centuries in day-night Tests with 4.
Head also broke the record for the fastest hundred in day-night Tests, eclipsing his previous record of 112 balls against England in Hobart in 2022.
The left-hander has played some fine knocks against the Men in Blue scoring 163 in the final of the WTC in 2023 to help his team seal a 209-run win.
Head also scored a hundred in the final of the 2023 ICC World Cup where Australia beat India comprehensively to seal their sixth World Cup title.
