What Ice Spice, Camila Cabello, JT, Alix Earle, and More Wore This Week
This week, creatives and celebrities alike traded the New York chill for a beachy breeze at Miami Art Basel. Aside from celebrating the art, there were many store openings and parties to bounce between. Cartier held a 100th-anniversary pop-up, and Miu Miu, Fendi, Maison Margelia, and Gucci held star-studded events in their stores with celebrities like Camila Cabello, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Alessandra Ambrosio, Yara Shahidi, Eiza González, and more in attendance. Plus, we got bold looks from such musicians as Ice Spice, Chance the Rapper, JT, and Gunna. Below are the best-dressed celebrities this week.
Best Dressed: Camila Cabello
Gigi Hadid and Miu Miu? A match made in heaven. To celebrate its latest edition of Miu Miu Select, the brand threw a party with stars decked out in the collection, including Cabello, who looked chic in a Miu Miu set and black pumps.
Best Dressed Runner-up: Alessandra Ambrosio
Brazilian model Ambrosio traded the catwalk for a silver step-and-repeat at the grand reopening of the Fendi Miami boutique, where guests enjoyed a DJ set by Isabella Massenet.
Best Off-Duty: Ice Spice
This is how Ice Spice dresses when she’s not busy performing, and we love the chunky jewelry paired with the baby tee and miniskirt she wore to Casablanca’s party at the Rainbow Room.
Most Dapper: Nicholas Alexander Chavez
Cartier celebrated the opening of its “100 Years of the Trinity” exhibition with a party featuring fun photo-booth moments, DJing by Janelle Monáe, and Cartier jewels to try on. There was no better way to kick off Art Basel Miami, and actor Chavez showed off his sleek watch for a photo op.
Best Glam: Alix Earle
If what influencer Earle is wearing (brown lip liner and all) is what the new golf attire is looking like, you can catch me on the green. On Thursday, Off-White celebrated the official launch of All in One, a capsule created in collaboration with professional golfer Paris Hilinski.
Best Pattern Play: Chance the Rapper
The Art Basel Miami rule? End every night at Soho Beach House. The parties and tent sessions are where everyone goes to dance the night away, including Chance the Rapper, who paired patterns on patterns for his special performance.
Best Accessorized: JT
For her birthday, rapper JT shut down the Rick Owens store (something that’s never been done before) for a dinner with her close friends and signature JT and Rick Owens caviar. She also wore a Rick Owens look.
Most on Theme: Gunna
Pucci had a fun fair during Art Basel, and we mean an actual fair with the aroma of buttery popcorn in the Miami air, a cotton-candy station, a pasta station, gelato, and even games, all designed with Pucci’s signature print, of course. Gunna wore a patterned denim set, a fitting look for an adult-fashion fun fair.
Best Styling: Aleali May
Tattoo artist Kozo partnered with Maison Margiela to hand-tattoo items such as the brand’s signature Tabi boot with art like tattooed duct tape and butterfly designs, and guests were decked out in the label. At the celebration, fashion designer May paired her sheer midi-skirt with knee-high tabis for the perfect look.
Best Tastemaker: Hannah Traore
Curator Traore wore a beautiful mesh dress at the Nami Nori Design District opening, which featured equally as beautiful dishes for guests to enjoy.
Best Link-Up: Yara Shahidi and James Blake
It was music overload at the Night Shift party hosted by American Express and Delta Air Lines, where actress Shahidi and record producer Blake sported casual looks for performances from Andre Power and Sky Jetta.
Best Sunglasses: Eiza González
Gucci knows how to party. Even though it’s Miami and it’s extremely hot, it’s still the holiday season there too. Gucci unveiled a giant snow globe in the Design District and threw a party with music, pasta, and drinks, where celebrities like González wore a sheer look for a perfect night.
