Controversial MasterChef contestant lined up for Love Island All Stars after being dumped by nepo baby girlfriend

Luca shot to fame on the eighth series of the ITV2 show in 2022 and placed second alongside Michael Owens’ daughter Gemma.

Despite their success, their romance didn’t last long and they split just three months later.

A source has told The Sun: “Luca’s in early talks for the show.

“He wasn’t sure about doing the first series as the split from Gemma Owen was so fresh but having watched All Stars in January, he’s now considering signing up.

“He needs to keep his public profile up since the Christmas MasterChef was cancelled – he was due to be on that but obviously it’s not airing anymore.”

It comes after The BBC pulled both MasterChef Christmas specials in the wake of a probe into Gregg Wallace’s alleged misconduct.

Luca would have been joined on screen alongside The Wanted’s Max George, Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh and comedian Shazia Mirza.

The other instalment would have starred Strictly stars Amy Dowden, Gorka Marquez, Nancy Xu and Kai Widdrington.

Sharing the news on his Instagram, Luca said: “Christmas is cancelled [sad face emoji].

“Gutted our Christmas special has been put on hold but hope to be on your screens again soon.”

Fans might not have long to wait if he joins the line-up.

There have been plenty of other names in the mix.

Luca’s co-star Paige Thorne has also been brought up.

According to a source, Paige’s name has been in the mix for All Stars for some time.

They exclusively told The Sun: “Paige was in talks to do All Stars earlier this year, but things didn’t quite work out, and she didn’t make the final cut.

“This time around, producers are really keen to have her back. They think she is the perfect addition to spice things up.”

Abi Moores, Lucinda Strafford, Olivia Hawkins, Marcel Somerville, India Reynolds, Sammy Roo, Ty Hyde and Adam Maxted have also possible stars.

Love Island – which is the UK’s biggest dating show – will return in January for the second series of All Stars.

The ITV2 programme is a huge hit with younger audiences.

It had 640 million steams on ITVX in the first two years of being on our screens.

Love Island All Stars, hosted by Maya Jama, premiered this year in January.

It was won by Tom Clare and Molly Smith.
