RBI increases UPI Lite per transaction limit to Rs 1000, up from Rs 500

The Reserve Bank of India increased the UPI Lite transaction limit to ₹1,000, with a total limit of ₹5,000. The National Payments Corporation of India announced an auto-top-up feature, allowing users to set a minimum balance and automatically reload their UPI Lite wallet online, eliminating manual reloads for small-value transactions.
