Our Head Coach interview is brought to you in association with Impact Glasgow – impactglasgow.co.uk
“It’s important, on the back of a long 120 minutes at Hampden on Saturday, that we use the squad right tonight, ensuring we get freshness in while also being aware that this is a big game for us. This is a competition that we want to progress in however we know that won’t be easy.
“We know that this will be a difficult game and there is a small element of the unknown with this one as well. We have watched their last round win over Stenhousemuir where they utilised a few first team players, adding to a squad of talented young players.
“For us it’s an opportunity to progress to a semi final though and we have prepared as best we can in terms of recovery from Saturday’s cup tie. We’ll be playing on a fantastic surface at The city Stadium and we want to use that to our benefit to play a certain way, a way that doesn’t help the opposition. We need to ensure there is an intensity and tempo to our play and if we do that, we will cause them problems.
“First and foremost we need to focus on what we can affect in the match and if we can do that, we’ll give ourselves a very good chance to progress.
“The squad has come through Saturday’s game and trained well yesterday. They have taken a big boost from Saturday’s penalty shoot out win. Confidence is high on the back of that result and it’s important that we seek to build on that tonight
