The Everton Forum • Re: Dyche
We were linked with Beto before Dyche took over so it seems he's been on Thelwell's radar for a while. The blame seems to shift from dyche to thelwell depending on performance and results....my understandings on how the DOF works is to align with the manager and act accordingly.....
Thelwell has his job to do
dyche has his job to do
and according to some mnever the twain shall meet!
i find it hard to believe thelwell goes out and buys... say beto.... without any input from dyche....afterall dyche has to fit these signings into a squad and subsequently the first team..and turn them into a team...he cant do that if he doesn't "know" them as players and their attributes....
So on the whole I blame Dyche...he sets up not to lose...has no plan B....has his favourites no matter how they play.....has no system that can be easily adapted...waits to long to make changes...then tends to just go like for like.....etc etc etc
Dyche may well have asked for a mobile big fucker striker but ultimately Beto is on Thelwell imo.
I think it's fair to blame Dyche for many things this season... Everyone wants him out now, even those who who supported him previously. Anyone criticising Thelwell isn't doing so to move any blame from Dyche on anything, it's more now we're all in agreement about the manager it's possible to look at other people's roles and how successful they've been or not been.
