Cyclone Fengal: Double blow for farmers, rivers in spate inundate crops in Puducherry

The devastation of Cyclone Fengal, coupled with the discharge of water from the dams, have affected crops in 5,400 hectares in Puducherry region. The worst affected was paddy crop cultivated in around 4,200 hectares, said an Agriculture officer.
