Drones, LiDAR put in use to map Asia's largest slum redevelopment project
For the first time in an Indian slum rehabilitation project, Dharavi Redevelopment Project employs drones and LiDAR technology to accurately survey and document Mumbai's Dharavi slums. About 7 lakh residents will receive flats up to 350 square feet free of cost, while modern tools create a 'digital twin' for effective data analysis and decision-making.
