Ontario Cycling annually recognizes its top athletes and community leaders who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to the sport of cycling. With some of the most dedicated people (both on and off the bike) across the country, it is our honour to recognize these individuals.

2024 was another amazing season full of accomplishment for Ontario cyclists. From provincial success to podiums on the world stage, to representing Canada at the 2024 Olympic Games, our Athletes of the Year did it all this past season.

We are happy to recognize this year’s OC Athletes of the Year:

Highlight of 2024: Officiated numerous events in 2024

Message from Kevin:

“First and foremost I wish to thank ALL of Ontario Cycling and Cycling Canada — Courtney, Chris, and all staff for making our jobs as Officials easier. I know it’s a thankless job that doesn’t get enough appreciation, but you folks need to know that I truly value your contributions. I want to thank all of my colleagues for their recognition… I know I have worked hard, but that is how I was raised… to serve others and always do my utmost. It has been a challenging journey, coming from almost zero knowledge of bike racing, to being considered one of the province’s best officials in 8 years… it has been difficult, yet rewarding. I appreciate all that my colleagues have taught me, and lead the way to excellence. Without their continued support, I would not be where I am today. I wish to thank my amazing and supportive wife… her long suffering and unfailing support has been invaluable in allowing me the freedom to pursue my passions. Without her none of this would be possible. I did my best on every race I was an official. I hope I used my skills in a fair and reasonable way. I can honestly say it was challenging, but in a good way. I have grown as an official this past year and now look forward to continuing my journey and trying for my Canadian National Level commissaire. Let the learning continue!!!”
