Man who raped child, fled NY sentenced
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Northumberland man, who was arrested after fleeing New York for sexually assaulting a child multiple times, was sentenced on Monday.
New York State Police traveled to South Carolina in June to arrest Siatar Creech. The 38-year old didn't appear in Saratoga County Court after being arrested and charged in Fall 2022 for raping a child.
Creech pleaded guilty in July to the charges against him. He was sentenced to two to six years in prison for the charge of use of a child in a sexual performance and 3.5 years for the rape charge.
