When to mail packages, letters this holiday season
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced the dates to send packages or letters through the mail to make sure they get to their intended destination this holiday season.
To ensure your holiday cards and gifts get to their destinations before major holidays this December, USPS lists the dates domestic and international items need to be sent out to arrive on time. Below is a list of dates provided by USPS:
2024 Holiday Mailing and Shipping Dates for Items Sent to Addresses in the Contiguous United States (Lower 48 States):
- USPS Ground Advantage service: Wednesday, Dec. 18.
- First-Class Mail service: Wednesday, Dec. 18.
- Priority Mail service: Thursday, Dec. 19.
- Priority Mail Express service: Saturday, Dec. 21.
2024 Holiday Mailing and Shipping Dates for Items Sent to Addresses in Alaska and Hawaii:
- USPS Ground Advantage service: Monday, Dec. 16.
- First-Class Mail service: Wednesday, Dec. 18.
- Priority Mail service: Thursday, Dec. 19.
- Priority Mail Express service: Friday, Dec. 20.
