Daly City man charged with attempted murder of pregnant woman
SAN FRANCISCO – A 30-year-old Daly City man is facing an attempted murder charge in connection with the shooting of a pregnant woman last month in San Francisco, according to prosecutors.
Khiri Roberson is also charged with four counts of discharge of a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of resisting arrest, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Monday.
Roberson is being held without bail, according to prosecutors. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 18.
The shooting happened around 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 19 in the 1100 block of Hollister Avenue, prosecutors said. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In the statement, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins thanked police for identifying and arresting a suspect in the case.
“Although I am grateful there was no loss of life in this shooting, these are serious crimes,” Jenkins said, “and my office will do everything in our power to fight for justice in the courtroom.”
