'Progress made' in decades-old JonBenet Ramsey murder case: report
The shocking 1996 murder of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey, which has remained unsolved after years of investigation, may be closer now to a resolution than it's ever been.
ABC News reports that investigators say that "progress is being made" in the investigation into Ramsey's murder, which occurred in her parents' home nearly 30 years ago.
The cold case has attracted new attention after it became the topic of a hit Netflix show.
According to ABC's reporting, investigators recently have assembled "a multi-disciplinary team of experts ... to go through the remaining evidence and apply the most modern scientific and cold case techniques to try to solve the crime" while also consulting with "top experts in their fields."

That said, it's still unknown whether there will be enough evidence to press any charges related to the case.
An autopsy of Ramsey conducted shortly after her murder concluded that she had been strangled and sexually assaulted.
Ramsey's murder is the subject of the current Netflix docuseries called "Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey."
Ramsey's parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, were cleared of being suspects in her murder back in 2008.
