Three EV makers raided for Rs 297 cr subsidy 'fraud'

The SFIO has searched Hero Electric, Benling India, and Okinawa Autotech for allegedly availing ₹297 crore in subsidies under the FAME II scheme fraudulently. The investigation revealed non-compliance with PMP guidelines. These companies are accused of importing restricted parts from China and falsely claiming subsidies meant to promote local manufacturing.
