Supreme Court seeks ECI's response on petition against increase of voters per booth

The Supreme Court has requested the Election Commission of India to submit a brief affidavit explaining its decision to increase the number of voters per polling booth to 1,500 or more. The decision, which was implemented in 2019 after consultation with political parties, had not faced any complaints until now.
