And the former X-Factor judge has revealed that she isn’t too fazed about the measly portions of food on offer during in the camp, as fasting is a big part of her diet.

Speaking to Heat World, she said: “I always like fasting for health purposes.”

In the same interview, Tulisa added that she often eats just one superfood the entire week, to keep her figure.

She said: “Sometimes, I spend a week eating lentils, so I don’t think [food in the jungle] is going to bug me as much as others.”

Lentils have a number of surprising health benefits and have been linked to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and obesity.

Experts have also linked the legumes to longer life expectancy.

Dan Buettner is an explorer of the earth‘s rare “blue zones” which include parts of Japan, Greece California and Costa Rica.

In these areas residents are reported to be 10 times more likely to live to 100 than those in the United States, although the legitimacy of this is often disputed.

Dan said: “Eat lentils and I’ll see you when you’re 100 years old.”

“These humble legumes promote heart health, balance blood sugar levels, and keep you full and energised.

“Embrace the longevity secrets of the Blue Zones and add more lentils to your diet.”

Helen Bell, a nutritionist at Help & Advice echoed this, revealing that lentils are not only “heart friendly” but help regulate blood sugar levels, due to their “low fat content.”

However, she warned that eating them every day, as Tulisa does may not be wise, as a varied diet is preferred.

She told The Mirror: “In my view, lentils are incredibly nutritious and can indeed be considered a superfood.

Alan Halsall – The actor, known for playing the long-running role of Tyrone Dobbs on ITV soap opera Coronation Street, was originally signed up to head Down Under last year but an operation threw his scheduled appearance off-course. “They are packed with protein, fibre, and essential nutrients like iron and folate, making them a staple in many healthy diets.”

“However, eating the same food continuously can lead to nutrient deficiencies.

“I’d always encourage people to mix up their meals with different proteins and vegetables for a more balanced diet.”

On Saturday’s installment of I’m A Celebrity, things got heated during a Bushtucker Trial as Tulisa turned on presenter Dec Donnelly.

As Tulisa took part in the TV Dinners eating challenge alongside Reverend Richard Coles, the pair faced gross dishes and some of the most disgusting animal dishes imaginable.

As Tulisa was served up a sheep’s testicle, she rounded on Dec as he tried to quiz her during the eating challenge.

Picking up the animal part, she asked: “This whole thing?” before biting into the huge testicle.

As she began chewing the sheep’s testicle and visibly gagging, Ant commented: “Oh that’s a big old chomp that one”.

Dec then asked her how it compared to her grandmother’s kleftiko – a Greek lamb dish.

He asked: “Is this anything like your nan’s kleftiko?”

Whilst Tulisa appeared to ignore the comment and struggled to chew, Dec asked again causing Tulisa to bite back: “I am not talking to you during this one.

“You’re not helping.”
