Bangladesh Cricket Board announced New captain for ODI series against West Indies
Since Najmul Hossain Shanto is unable to make his way back from an injury recovery, Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been announced as the new captain for the Bangladesh for the ODI series against West Indies. Miraz is going to lead the team in the 50-over format after he led them in the two-match Test series against the Caribbean side
Afif Hossain Dhrubo has been called up to the ODI squad after a year. Zakir Hasan has kept his spot in the squad after he gave his appearance in the ODI series against Afghanistan.
Nahid Rana kept his place in the squad after his outstanding ODI debut. Meanwhile, Towhid Hridoy had bee put to rest due to his groin injury.
Shakib Al Hasan is still not a member of the Bangladeshi squad. According to the BCB president Faruque Ahmed, Hasan is still more than capable of playing at the highest of levels for Bangladesh.
