Computer chip group SEMI says EU needs assertive industrial policy

SEMI Europe urges the incoming European Commission to adopt Mario Draghi's recommendations for a coherent industrial policy and launch a European 'Chips Act 2.0'. This initiative aims to enhance the European semiconductor ecosystem, expedite high-tech project approvals, and respond to US and China export restrictions to protect and assert EU strategic interests.
