Autel adds new generation workhorse tablets

Autel released the MaxiSYS 906 Max, a diagnostic and service tablet featuring a robust service menu with more than 40 direct-to-function guided resets, adaptations and coding, late model Nissan, Stellantis, Volkswagen and Audi vehicle secure gateway access capability and OE-equivalent active tests, and special and hidden functions.

It features a larger screen and a wireless Bluetooth-enabled vehicle communication interface (VCI) supporting standard and advanced protocols for new vehicles with systems necessitating faster data transfer rates.

“Autel developed the 906 tablet line to give time-strapped technicians working at a general repair shop a powerful yet dependable tool for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing the many vehicles of all ages and all makes that come into their shops — a professional tool at an affordable price,” said Mike Flink, Autel’s director of sales and training.

This vehicle-specific, direct-to-system service and maintenance task menu has more than 40 menu options. Services include oil light reset, DPF regen, steering angle sensor reset, airbag reset, occupancy seat reset and brake bleed, throttle body reset, fuel injector coding, body height sensor reset, windows/tailgate/sunroof learning, headlight limit position reset, automatic start/stop adaptive relearn and activation and deactivation, A/C air flap monitor reset, and rain/light sensor calibration.

The MS906 MAX allows shops and technicians to expand on the services they provide to their customers. Included on the tablet are Battery Test and MaxiVideo applications. With the purchase of the Autel MaxiBAS BT506, technicians can perform battery, starter and charging system testing and produce detailed graphical customer reports. With the purchase of the MaxiVideo MV105S or MV108S, technicians can use the tablet display to inspect hard-to-reach or hard-to-see spaces in components and within vehicle systems. Technicians can also expand into ADAS calibrations by purchasing a calibration software upgrade subscription and an Autel ADAS MA600 or Standard Frame ADAS calibration system.
