Magnolia Lamp

Magnolia Lamp is a minimal light created by Sweden-based designer Ruhan Chen. Drawing inspiration from the magnolia flower—a symbol of good fortune in ancient Chinese culture—Chen reimagines its refined elegance in a modern lighting design. The lamp’s focal point is its hand-blown glass shade, featuring a milky-white gradient achieved through sandblasting to create a soft, diffused glow. Measuring 40cm in diameter, the shade’s edges are meticulously hand-polished by skilled artisans, underscoring the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship. Above the shade, three metal curves delicately suspend the fixture, evoking the graceful spread of magnolia branches. Xunguangdao, founded in 2023 in Hangzhou, China, aims to blend high-quality materials with thoughtful design to create lighting solutions that elevate domestic spaces.
