46-year-old woman dead after Saturday crash, DUI suspect arrested
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The family of 46-year-old Patricia Marse have confirmed her death to News 4 after she was rear-ended in a crash Saturday night.
Authorities say the crash happened after someone called Oklahoma City Police about a disturbance involving a man in a gray Chrysler 300.
Witnesses told police he was driving recklessly and doing donuts in the street.
When officers got to the scene, the driver fled which started a small police chase.
Timothy Greb lives nearby, saying the area is well known for reckless driving.
"A lot of people like to race through here, especially Friday and Saturday evenings. That's where a lot of the crashes do happen," Greb said.
Police say the chase ended with 46-year-old Patricia Marse being rear ended. Her silver Ford Explorer rolled over and she was ejected from the car.
She was taken to a hospital and has since died.
Marse's family tell News 4 she was a caring and loving mother and grandmother to her kids and grandkids.
Oklahoma City Police have not yet released the name of the man driving the gray Chrysler 300.
Authorities did confirm his arrest and that he faces charges of DUI and causing a crash involving injury.
However, now that Patricia Marse has died, more charges could be added.
