Sean Penn Makes Red Carpet Debut with Girlfriend Valeria Nicov at Marrakech Film Festival 2024

Sean Penn is taking a big step with his new girlfriend!

The 64-year-old Oscar-winning actor and girlfriend Valeria Nicov made their red carpet at the 2024 Marrakech International Film Festival on Saturday (November 30) in Marrakech, Morocco.

For the event, Sean sported a dark navy suit while the 30-year-old Moldovan actress and model donned a strapless black gown.

During the event, Sean was called for people “to be as politically incorrect as their heart desires” he was honored with a career award.

Keep reading to find out more…“For those of you with any familiarity with me and what has been my life, you’ll understand that I don’t often miss the opportunity to say an opinion,” Sean said, via Variety. “And I have one [opportunity to do so] tonight in celebration of this incredible group of people that this festival brings together.”

He then went on to reference the so-called “Munk Debate” about political correctness held in 2018 between British star Stephen Fry and clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson in Toronto.

“Stephen Fry was giving a kind of closing argument and it’s so important to film that we remember this,” Sean noted. “While Steven is a very progressive-minded person, he criticized the liberals on the other side of the aisle for was that liberalism has become in the United States.”

He continued, “Around the world [there is] this demand for diversity — but not diversity of behavior and not diversity of opinion or language. I would just encourage everybody to be as politically incorrect as their heart desires and to engage diversity and to keep telling those stories, and I’m very proud and happy to be here. Thank you.”

It’s unclear how long Sean and Valeria have been together. They were first photographed packing on the PDA during a vacation in Spain.

In a recent interview, Sean revealed which of his past roles he believes he wouldn’t be able to play today.
