Hugh Jackman Allegedly Doesn’t Want to Do This to Ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness Amid Sutton Foster Romance
In case you missed it, Hugh Jackman and his former co-star Sutton Foster have sparked some serious romance rumors, and then some serious affair rumors. Jackman and Foster have reportedly been keeping their romance away from the public eye, and it’s allegedly because of his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
According to an insider who recently spilled the beans to Star via OK Magazine, Jackman and Foster have been keeping their romance on the down low to avoid humiliating Furness.
“They’ve been hiding their relationship from the outside world for so long, sneaking around, living apart, but there will come a time when they’ll want to come out as a couple,” an inside source claimed to the outlet. “Soon, they may start testing the waters.”
They added that Jackman “doesn’t want the negative publicity. Or to humiliate Deb. Hugh cares for Deb a great deal. She’s the mother of his children.”
Sources have also previously alleged that the new pair want to keep their romance out of the public eye to avoid the pitfalls of a public Hollywood relationship, especially after she accidentally confirmed Jackman and Foster seemingly had an affair. (She did this when she “liked” gossip influencer Tasha Lustig’s Oct. 26 Instagram post about Jackman’s alleged affair from a private account, but word spread quick.)
However, despite accidentally speaking about it and Jackman’s alleged thought to not humiliate her, Furness is just going to focus on her own life. Insiders previously told DailyMail that Furness had “suspicions” about the two, but she’s allegedly going to stay out of this and live her own best life.
“Deborra-Lee had her suspicions when Hugh started working with Sutton. Their relationship is not a secret to her,” they claimed. “Deborra-Lee wants to be left out of this narrative. She is not going to address this or speak against Hugh. When they divorced, they agreed to keep everything that happened during their marriage private.”
For those who don’t know, Jackman and Furness married in April 1996, after meeting on the show Correlli the year prior. They adopted two children named Oscar Maximillian, born in May 2000, and Ava Eliot, born in July 2005. Sadly, they called it quits after 27 years together, and separated in Sept 2023.
Now, as for Foster, she recently filed for divorce from her husband of ten years, Ted Griffin, and it subsequently sparked romance rumors with Jackman, with whom she worked in 2022 on the set of the Broadway revival of The Music Man.
A Page Six insider claimed that Foster and Jackman were clearly in love on set, and behind closed doors. “They spend all of their free time together,” one source said. “They are a regular couple; they are just in private.” Another insider also noted that “they sneak around” undetected — well, those days are probably over, too.
