Child hit by moped day after Thanksgiving in the Bronx: NYPD
WILLIAMSBRIDGE, The Bronx (PIX11) – A three-year-old girl was hospitalized after she was hit by a person on a moped, just a day after Thanksgiving, according to police.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. on Friday on Holland Avenue in the Bronx, authorities say. Sources tell PIX11 News the child was walking with her mother when she was hit by a person driving a moped on the sidewalk.
The three-year-old suffered injuries to her face and was taken to a local hospital. The moped driver fled the scene, officials say.
Police say they’re looking for a man in connection with the incident, last wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants, and black sandals. The moped is described as blue with black stripes on the side.
