Two special moms and their incredible journey

Ahead of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (observed on December 3), The Hindu Downtown features two winners of the “Special Mom” award. Initiated by Chennai-based non-profit Sri Arunodayam, the event celebrates the incredible journey of mothers raising children with intellectual disabilities. In this year’s edition, 10 special mothers from South India were honoured.
