One person is dead, another injured after Friday morning shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person is dead following a shooting south of Franklin Park on Friday morning.

Columbus police responded to reports of a shooting at 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the 1700 block of East Main Street. According to dispatchers, police found two victims, one of whom was pronounced dead on scene.

The other victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Police said the altercation began between the two victims at the backdoor of a home before a shootout ensued.
