'Joy, beauty, and lights': Metro-North debuts holiday train for festive rides
NEW YORK (PIX11) – The first-ever Metro-North Railroad Holiday Train is ready to light up the rails.
Starting on Friday and running through the New Year, this festive train will be decked out with festive lights and will carry holiday-themed safety messages.
“I’m thrilled that Metro-North can bring the joy, beauty, and lights of the season to all of our riders on their way to work, school, or to see family and friends during the holidays,” said Metro-North Railroad President Catherine Rinaldi.
The holiday train will operate on the Hudson Line, Harlem Line, and the New Haven Line, according to the Metro North website. The holiday lights train will operate randomly on all three lines at different times of day and night.
