PFL Championships live blog: Dakota Ditcheva vs. Taila Santos

This is the 2024 PFL World Championships live blog for Dakota Ditcheva vs. Taila Santos, the flyweight tournament final this Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Tapped by many to be the future “Face of the PFL,” Ditcheva is only 26 years old and already has an impressive 13-0 career record. Eight of those wins have come inside the PFL as Ditcheva rose to prominence through the promotion’s PFL Europe extension, and with three straight first-round finishes, Ditcheva looks ready to ascend to the rank of champion.

Santos, a former UFC flyweight title challenger, gave 125-pound queen Valentina Shevchenko all she could handle in their battle at UFC 275. Santos ultimately came up short and after losing to rising contender Erin Blanchfield, the 31-year-old Brazilian moved over to PFL where she’s put in solid performances to earn her shot at the flyweight title and $1 million.
