One nation, why another ID card?

The Government of India's decision to reissue smart PAN cards is deemed unnecessary and fails to address the misuse associated with multiple ID cards. A single comprehensive ID system could consolidate all essential personal information, reducing duplication and inefficiency across departments while better protecting the vulnerable from exploitation.
