Fire engine involved in crash in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Two people are hospitalized after a crash involving a fire engine Thursday evening. 

According to Columbus police dispatchers, the crash happened near Stelzer Road and McCutcheon Road at approximately 7:50 p.m. 

The crash involved a Mifflin Township Fire Department truck and another vehicle, fire department personnel at the scene said.  

The driver of the vehicle and one person from the fire truck were taken to a local hospital both in a stable condition. 

There is no word on what led to the crash.
