Shocked I’m a Celeb viewers point out reason Alan Halsall should have been exempt from gruesome trial
I’M A Celebrity fans have hit out at the show for allowing Alan Halsall to do tonight’s BushTucker Trial.
The Coronation Street star, 42, went up against McFly‘s Danny Jones and Radio 1 host Dean McCullough in the Rank Bank challenge.
But some fans were quick to say that the soap star should have been exempt for this trial because he is a vegetarian.
The grim task involved the lads using their mouth to empty a box full of raw pig testicles, followed by popping fish eyes to and putting fish guts in their mouth.
One viewer wrote: “Poor Alan getting this being vegetarian.”
A second posted: “Oh yeah! Forgot about that. Even more kudos to him! I’m not vegetarian, but no, I could never do this.”
A third said: “Considering Alan is a vegetarian he’s absolutely smashing this trial.”
This person asked: “Is Alan not vegetarian?,” followed by a sick emoji.
This viewer shared: “Hold on Alan’s a vegetarian, so how the f*** is he doing this trial?”
Another added: “Dean saying he can’t do it when Alan is a literal vegetarian.”
Ant and Dec explained they would be competing in four races to win cash for their team’s bank accounts.
For first place, they’d be awarded $300, for second place $200 and third place $100.
The first deposit box which contained raw pig testicles, Dean, Alan and Danny learned they would have to empty their deposit box within the time limit using only their mouths.
Danny and Alan were neck and neck, with Danny just piping Alan to the post and winning $300 for team orange, and Alan $200 for team blue.
Dean didn’t complete the task within the time limit, so collected $0.
Next up, the teams had to compete to remove 3 coins out of the fish guts deposit box using only their mouths.
Alan came first place, with Danny and Dean both vying for second place.
Dean took second with $200, but Danny just missed the time limit, collecting his third coin 5 seconds after the klaxon sounded, meaning he banked $0.
In the third race, they were told to keep an eye on their finances, as Ant and Dec revealed they’d have to squeeze the juice out of fish eyes into the shot glass, filling it up to the red line.
As Dean said of the fish guts: “It’s all in my veneers!”
For the fourth and final race, Dean, Alan and Danny had to put their hands into a hell hole filled with critters in order to unscrew three coins as quickly as possible.
Alan came first winning a further $300, Dean second $200 and Danny just missed out on finishing in time, so won nothing.
At the end, team blue reigned victorious with $1100, with both the pink and orange teams tied with $500 each.
